Colorado Trail Hiking Update from Lake City

We’re here in Lake City for a rest day/resupply day. Everyone has been hugely helpful!

A great thanks to the crew at the Lake City Med Center for fixing up Phil’s tummy problem! Also, Hara (spelling?), for the ride from the trailhead to town, and Melody for the help in town and getting back to the trailhead tonight.

3 days to Molas Campground. Then 3-4 days to Durango. See you soon!!

July 2010, saw Phil and Apryle thru-hiking the Colorado Trail, a 486+ mile hike from Denver to Durango, Colorado. Their Colorado Trail trip report and trail planning outlines their gear, food rations, route and more for their 29-day trek.

In 2009, Phil and Apryle embarked on a life-changing inside passage kayak expedition, paddling over 1,200 miles from Gig Harbor, Washington to Skagway, Alaska. The Go Wild Expedition is building awareness for threatened wild salmon and raising funds for Living Oceans Society.
